Real Housewives of New York star Sai De Silva shared her personal views on the practices of ICE in the United States and found there were consequences.
“I woke up and realized I lost some followers,” she said in a video on her social media. Though her outspoken opinions may have lost her some followers, Sai wasn’t bothered in the least.
Sai De Silva said “good riddance” to those who unfollowed her
Shared on X account Bye Wig Hello Drama, Sai appeared to be enjoying her breakfast of fresh fruit. After realizing that she “lost some followers” overnight, she continued. “I just wanted to say good riddance, because I didn’t want you to enjoy my content anyways,” she said.
“We don’t have the same values or opinions about humanity in this country,” she added. “So I don’t want you to take part in this community … I just don’t think that this was a good place for you, and I really hope you don’t come back.”
“We’re not the same,” she concluded.
According to the poster, some of Sai’s followers departed her community after she “[spoke] out about ICE.” But Sai is by far not the only one upset over the recent shootings of innocent people by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis.
Several Sai supporters responded. One follower posted, “Totally agree with her. #IceOut.”
Another added, “As much as I didn’t enjoy her on the show, at least I’m glad she’s on the right side of history.”
While another wrote, “Dueces [sic] to those weird followers. It’s about humanity at the end of the day. Shoutout to Sai. Can’t wait to watch this upcoming season of #RHONY.”
All episodes of The Real Housewives of New York are now streaming on Peacock.
