All Housewives were not created equally, and rumor has it that the original Real Housewives of New York crew want absolutely nothing to do with those newbies.
As you’ve heard, the OG cast members, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, and Luann de Lesseps have all defected from Bravo for a new show on E! called The Golden Life, and sources close to the crew said they’re making a point to keep their distance from the women who replaced them on RHONY.
With some good news this week, are the ladies fully feeling their oats?
The Golden Life network E! ordered more episodes before premiere
The unofficial RHONY reboot filmed for several weeks in Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this year. E! dropped a teaser showing some of the shenanigans that the girls got into during filming. Jill Zarin was somewhere watching the footage and screaming into the void.
This week, we learned that E! ordered more episodes of the show because they’re so thrilled with the “light” and “fun” the OGs delivered. They plan on picking cameras back up in New York. Now, a source close to the situation told TMZ that the OG RHONY ladies are ready for a “ratings showdown” with the new RHONY cast.
According to the source, the OG cast wants nothing to do with the newbies in any way, shape, or form. They don’t want any crossovers or cameos. The names Erin Lichy and Sai De Silva mean absolutely nothing to them.
Another source claimed that the OG cast would “love” for The Golden Life to premiere on the same day as RHONY Season 16. That way, they could really prove to Bravo that they made a horrific mistake by recasting them in the first place.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock, and E!’s The Golden Life is coming soon.
