Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, just signed a temporary custody agreement for their four minor children. This arrangement marks yet another crossed bridge in their contentious divorce proceedings. Since these Real Housewives of Atlanta alums have equally accused each other of unfit parenting, how did their provisional pact work out? Here’s the tea.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are locked in an ongoing divorce battle
Kim and Kroy’s custody battle concerns their four youngest children, Kroy Jr., Kash, Kaia, and Kane. They also share custody of Kim’s older daughters, since Kroy adopted her girls in 2013, two years after he wed their mother. In August 2025, however, Kroy demanded sole custody of their minor children. And when he did, he made some pretty damning claims about his soon-to-be ex, Kim.
As Kroy’s team shared, “There is a noteworthy absence of structure and accountability in the Mother’s home. The split/shared custody arrangement is not in the best interests of the children.” Kroy further alleged that Kim leaves their children unattended. He also claimed that she randomly pulls their children out of school while exhibiting “next to no familiarity” with their needs.
Leading up to his sole custody filing, however, he and Kim were sharing split custody of their children. In this configuration, Kim and Kroy agreed that they would each have two children with them at all times. They would then exchange their pairs on a week-by-week basis. They put this plan in place after they moved out of their foreclosed Georgia mansion in April 2025.
But now, according to TMZ, Kim and Kroy sat down for a mediation session earlier this week. And thankfully, they managed to sign a deal during this session. However, their custody agreement is under wraps. But regardless, it’s done, and this is now one less matter for the pair to deal with.
