Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville is finally revealing what caused her facial parasite. For over two years, the reality star was struggling with her facial disfigurement without any relief. Then, in late 2025, she shared that she finally had a diagnosis. Brandi revealed that it was her breast implants that caused her problems.

Brandi shared with TMZ that she’s learned a hard lesson about not maintaining her breast implants. As it turns out, the boob job that she got over two decades ago was behind the facial issues that have plagued her these past couple of years.
ICYMI, Brandi has been battling a facial parasite she infamously nicknamed after a former Real Housewives of New Jersey star (IYKYK). She’s had countless tests and seen “21 doctors” but was unable to pin down what caused her disfigurement. It got so bad that she went into depression and didn’t even want to leave her home.
Finally, she shared that she learned that the breast implants she got had ruptured and leaked silicone inside her body. The silicone clogged her lymph nodes, leading to a nasty infection that caused the deformity.
Brandi admitted that it was her fault. According to her, conventional wisdom calls for breast implants to be swapped out every decade, but she kept hers in for almost 20 years. And she paid the price for it. When asked why she didn’t swap them out, she said they felt and looked fine and “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
It turns out, it was “broke” and was causing damage to her face. Fortunately, a sonogram eventually unlocked the answer and allowed Brandi to treat the issue. Brandi admitted that boob jobs can be great, but there can be side effects. Her advice to anyone considering it is to be vigilant, keeping on checking on them, and always follow the doctor’s orders.
