Despite divorcing in the mid-nineties, Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor maintained a friendship for many years. The pair continued to co-parent their two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and even lived together at Royal Lodge until their recent eviction. But their decades-long alliance may now be in question. Sarah is reportedly doubting her “loyalty” to Andrew in light of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The former Duchess of York’s “perks are gone” amid Epstein scandal

According to a Radar Online insider, the former Duchess of York has “cut off all contact” with her ex-husband. This comes after Andrew – who has always denied any wrongdoing – was featured heavily in the Epstein files, prompting an unprecedented arrest for misconduct in a public office.
“The former duchess benefited from Andrew for years,” a source said of Sarah. “She lived for free in the Royal Lodge. Now that the perks are gone and so is her home, so is her loyalty.”
The insider went on to suggest that Sarah has a motive for distancing herself from the disgraced royal. “[She] believes distancing herself [from Andrew] now might save what’s left of her reputation,” they claimed.
“She’s realized she doesn’t need him or his drama,” a second source added. “She’s fed up with living in his mess.”
Sarah has been noticeably absent in recent months. Like Andrew, she featured numerous times in the Epstein files (although inclusion is not an indication of wrongdoing) and has not been seen in public since September 2025.
Her whereabouts are currently “unknown” – as is her living situation. While Andrew has relocated to Norfolk following his eviction from Royal Lodge, it’s unclear where the former duchess has moved to, or what her plans are for the future.
