FBI Director Labeled ‘Make-a-Wish’ Man by Jon Stewart

On this week’s The Daily Show, veteran talk show host Jon Stewart poked fun at FBI Director Kash Patel after footage of him celebrating in the locker room with the USA Men’s Hockey Team, following their win, went viral. Stewart questioned if Patel was a “Make-a-Wish man.” He reacted to the footage of the team putting the medal around the FBI Director’s neck.

After a round of intense backlash online, Jon Stewart also addressed FBI Director Kash Patel’s celebration with the USA Men’s Hockey Team. This was following their win at the Winter Olympics in Italy. Stewart also addressed the nation’s enthusiastic response to the win.

“This country is in such emotional turmoil right now,” Stewart said on The Daily Show. He added, “A feeling that we are one nation divided, under siege. That perhaps we have crossed a Rubicon of this great American experiment. And “that we, slowly and inexorably, are sliding into the abyss of fallen and broken democracies. But then!”

“We’re back, motherf*cker!” Stewart exclaimed. This was while playing a replay of Jack Hughes scoring the game-winning goal for Team USA, “I know the powerful elites remain unaccountable, but he put the thing behind that other guy! This country was sinking into a cesspool we couldn’t recover from, but he put the vulcanized rubber disc behind the lord of the net! It was so unifying!”

He added, “There is nothing that can take away from the joyous moment as all Americans celebrate this incredible — wait, what the f*ck?” As the clip moved to Kash Patel celebrating with the team, Stewart paused and said, “Is that FBI director Kash Patel? Are they putting a medal on FBI director Kash Patel? Is Kash Patel a Make-a-Wish man?”

After his probe at the FBI Director, Stewart elaborated on the Right’s reaction to the win. “First of all, what a super weird year hockey is having. Like, in four months, to go from, ‘Nobody gives a shit about hockey,’ to, ‘Well, I like to watch them fuck.’ to, ‘Only hockey can save us from a dystopian, estrogenetic future.’” he joked. This was before showing clips from Fox News, where commentators can be seen celebrating “taking hockey away” from Canadians.

“What is with this sore winning?” Stewart added, concluding, “And by the way, don’t we have enough real enemies? Now we got to pretend like Canada’s way of life is incongruous to the West? ‘Yeah! fuck those completely best neighbors our nation has ever had!’”
