Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Production Company Remains Confident

New projects may be in the works soon for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The couple’s production company, Archewell Productions recently announced a scripted show will debut.

This comes after Netflix ended its relationship with the former Suits actress’ lifestyle brand, As ever. Recent reports also alleged a fallout between the streaming service and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to People, Meghan and Harry are planning a number of new ventures landing on different streaming platforms. Insiders report there are several projects in development, including scripted and non-fiction programming. “There is a natural attrition as you work through the stages of development, but Archewell Productions will have programming across several streaming platforms over the next few years,” a source said.

This announcement came about the same time as a new scripted show announcement on March 23. Archewell Productions and Netflix have partnered for a polo-themes series. Inspired by the POLO docuseries, the new show will center around a sport the prince loves.

Also in development is both an adaptation of Jasmine Guillory’s book The Wedding Date and an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s romance novel Meet Me at the Lake.

In 2025, Archewell Production’s Netflix deal was restructured and is now a multi-year, first-look arrangement for both film and TV projects.

This is contrary to a March 17 Variety report that Netflix was taken aback by the couple’s 2021 Oprah interview. Then they discussed stepping away from their royal obligations and relocating to California. This occurred just prior to the debut of the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries in 2022. The streaming service also was “blindsided” by Harry’s memoir, Spare, according to Variety. In the 2023 book, he detailed growing up in the royal family.

Netflix chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, denied the allegations. “Don’t believe whatever you read,” he responded. “Maybe we should all do a little fact-checking.”
