Shep Rose has a new gig. This Southern Charm star grew up on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, where tennis reigns supreme. Therefore, Shep played tennis in his youth. And now, he is joining INTENNSE as an owner of one of their professional, team-based tennis leagues.
Shep Rose is taking his love for tennis to the next level
Following the conclusion of the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion, Shep posted a reel on Instagram, announcing his latest venture. At the start of this reel, Shep opens a gift box. Inside, he finds a jersey bearing the number eight.
“My number eight,” Shep says, smiling. “I love it because it’s symmetrical,” he added, since he considers himself a “geometry nut.” But mainly, he is “just very glad to work with INTENNSE.”
“I’m from Hilton Head Island. Tennis was a giant there. It still is,” Shep clarified. And now, he has an “opportunity to be involved in a team,” which lowkey reminds him of his other gig on Bravo.
Just like his role on Southern Charm, the leagues at INTENNSE require “a team effort,” Shep described, right as the cat got hold of his tongue. As Shep tried to explain this comparison, he said, “The sum is greater than the whole, wait, the sum of the parts … Something’s greater than something else,” he laughed.
But really, “It’s an ensemble cast, so to speak. [There are] four men and four women on every roster. Maybe there’ll be some fun romances on the same team or across teams, which will cause all sorts of strife,” Shep joked. “I’m looking forward to that part,” he admitted, but “I’m going to stay out of this one, though, because as an owner [of The Outriders], I would be improper.”
Instead, Shep is “going to mold a team that is definitely going to be the most interesting team.” It will be “colorful, maybe a little irreverent, and very good, and wins all the championships.”
