Summer House’s West Wilson Edited Out of New Project After Amanda Batula Romance Backlash

Public opinion turned on West Wilson and Amanda Batula after they confirmed an illicit romance. The internet and the entire cast is squarely behind West’s ex-girlfriend, Ciara Miller. And Summer House viewers can’t believe how Amanda betrayed her friend, who was such a support to her during times of strife with her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke.

Now, both Summer House stars are feeling the effects of it all. Arguably, Amanda and West were trying to build a brand during their time on the hit reality TV show. Amanda was getting a lot of sympathy at first when she announced her split from Kyle. She and her fling will be paying financially for their decisions.

According to a fan account on TikTok, West was dropped from a brand campaign due to public backlash. The NCAA teamed up with Marriott Bonvoy. The Summer House star was to be the face of it. Now, he is officially out.

West was part of the Marriott Bonvoy video at first. But the flood of negative responses made a statement. Marriott Bonvoy pulled the content, and edited him out. It is now reposted with only his co-host Sophie Cunningham visible.

The fan account also claimed that Edie Parker removed Amanda from their campaign with her.

It’s a quick response to the March 31 statement that the undefined duo put out officially. It reads, “We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything,” said the couple. “Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

The statement continued, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”

Without care to Ciara or Kyle’s feelings, the illicit duo made sure to, “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”

“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” the statement concluded. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
