Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.
The fallout continues from Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s domestic violence investigations. Amid all the turmoil, filming for Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is on hold. In addition, Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was also canceled once a tape surfaced of a domestic violence incident from 2023.
The leaked tape was incredibly disturbing. In the footage, Taylor threw chairs at her ex-boyfriend, Dakota, while he filmed the incident. In the end, Taylor pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault for the 2023 incident.

However, there is an open domestic abuse investigation with the Draper Police Department involving Dakota and Taylor. The complaint stems from February 24 and 25, 2026. Both parties made allegations about each other.
In addition, Dakota reached out to the police in West Jordan, Utah, accusing Taylor of another domestic violence incident in 2024. A spokesperson revealed that the police were reviewing video footage relating to the 2024 incident. Salt Lake City District Attorney Sam Gill said in a statement that his office “requested all the investigative material to screen the most recent allegations for charges.” He is also examining the Draper police department case.
Meanwhile, Dakota was issued a temporary restraining order against Taylor and “temporary custody” of their son, Ever. The next hearing will be on April 7. And it seems that Taylor is ready to share her version of events.
TMZ reviewed court documents from the SLOMW star. She requested a temporary restraining order against her baby daddy. Taylor alleged that Dakota was “increasingly possessive” ahead of her shelved Bachelorette premiere. According to Taylor, Dakota allegedly slammed her head against his car’s dashboard. Then, when Taylor denied his sexual advances, Dakota called the police.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
