President Donald Trump blasted female journalist Jessica Tarlov after she mentioned his approval ratings during Thursday’s episode of The Five. As the only liberal panelist on the Fox show, Tarlov brought up how unpopular the current President was, noting he had only a 35 percent approval rating in most polls. President Donald Trump, whose posts on Truth Social have garnered negative attention time and again, once again used the platform to call out female journalist Jessica Tarlov after her appearance on Thursday’s episode of The Five.
As the only liberal panelist on the show, Tarlov pointed out that Trump’s ratings were very low, with most polls showing an approval rating of 35 percent or below.
Trump responded to the claims by Tarlov, writing on Truth Social, “I am watching one of the Least Attractive and Talented People on all of Television, Jessica Tarlov. Her voice is so grating and terrible, I had to ‘turn her off!” He continued, “Her Democrat soundbites are FAKE. She makes up “Poll Numbers,” and nobody challenges her, because she is so boring.”
CNN previously reported that Trump’s approval ratings sit at a dismal 35 percent as of April 2, 2026. However, Trump wrote in the post, “I have among the best Poll Numbers I have ever had, and why shouldn’t I, ALL THE COUNTRY DOES IS WIN. CNN had me at 100%, saying they never saw that before.”
The President further added, “GET HER OFF THE AIR, SHE IS BAD FOR OUR COUNTRY! I hear Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens are dying fast. Their numbers are terrible. Nobody believes them anymore. They were FAKE MAGA, and now they’ve been exposed! President DJT.”
Responding to the claim on her own post, Tarlov wrote, “Guess I’ll take this opportunity to mention that my numbers are far from fake – Trump really is that unpopular. And you can pre order my book I Disagree as of today!!”
Meanwhile, Candace Owens, who Trump also mentioned in the post, also responded to the President’s rant, saying, “Can somebody please source me the News segment that caused this meltdown. Looks like he may have accidentally heard the truth?”
