Donald Trump’s Statements on Iran Keep Changing

Donald Trump’s statements regarding Iran amid the war are reportedly changing. The report arrived after the US President made a contradictory statement regarding Vice President JD Vance’s involvement in the next set of peace talks with Iran. Trump launched the military operation against Iran in February, while describing it as a threat.

Donald Trump keeps contradicting his statements on Iran

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump is making contradictory statements about Iran.

Based on the reports, when Trump appeared for talks with the networks ABC and MS Now, he stated that Vice President JD Vance will not be traveling to Islamabad, Pakistan, for the next round of peace talks with Iran. However, contradicting his statement, officials from Trump’s administration confirmed that Vance is set to lead the talks in Pakistan.

A spokesperson from the White House, Anna Kelly, released a statement to WSJ regarding the difference in statements and revealed, “These diplomatic conversations are very fluid and evolving in real-time. Vice President JD Vance is doing a great job leading the US delegation in these negotiations, and the President appreciates all of his work to help ensure that Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon.”

Kelly further called out media outlets as ‘bloodthirsty’ who try to reach out to Trump for talks, and “then complain about the answers they get.” She also lauded Trump as the “most transparent President in history” and asserted that he has no objection to speaking to the media to give information regarding various issues.

Recently, Trump spoke to CNBC, saying that Iran will strike a “great deal” with the United States. He added, “I think they have no choice. We’ve taken out their navy, we’ve taken out their air force, we’ve taken out their leaders. It is regime change, no matter what you want to call it, which is not something I said I was going to do, but I’ve done it indirectly.”
