Reality Stars Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins Join Dancing with the Stars Season 35

It sounds like Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars is off to a promising start! Disney announced the first two Season 35 contestants, who are both reality stars, during Hulu’s Get Real House event. Welcome to the ballroom, Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins!

Maura came in second place during Season 4 of The Traitors. Traitor Rob Rausch infamously backstabbed the Love Island UK alum, leaving her with not a cent from the prize pot. However, Rob did buy her a Birkin as an apology. Recently, fan favorite Maura’s name was rumored to be in the mix for DWTS and The Bachelorette.

Ciara’s name has been in the headlines thanks to a Summer House scandal. Ciara’s former bestie, Amanda Batula, started secretly dating Ciara’s ex, West Wilson. When the truth came out, the cast and fans were floored. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in Season 10,” Ciara previously said. “It’s a major mindf*ck.”

Of course, Ciara previously signaled her interest in waltzing around the ballroom ahead of DWTS Season 34. When asked if she would consider joining the show, Ciara previously said, “I would totally. I would love that, honestly, but whatever’s right for me at the right time.” Plus, the model and Season 3 Traitors alum took ballet for a decade. Well, it seems as if the time is right!

After all, Ciara was a likely pick after the Summer House chaos. Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana Madix competed in DWTS Season 32 after Scandoval shook that series. So, Amanda and West’s mess is Ciara’s gain.

The rest of the Season 35 DWTS cast will be announced at a later time, with the show set to premiere sometime this fall.

Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Disney+. Meanwhile, The Traitors is streaming on Peacock, and Summer House continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
