Summer House viewers have been questioning the timeline of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship since it was announced that they’re dating. And, this week’s episode has only heightened that speculation. In “Ship Happens,” Kyle Cooke pointed out a suspicious pattern in Amanda and West’s texts.
Amanda’s texts with West differ from those with Kyle
In case you missed it (how is that humanly possible!?), Amanda and West announced last month – after much speculation – that they are dating. And yes, that’s Amanda as in Ciara Miller’s BFF and West as in Ciara’s ex.
After confirming their romance, Amanda and West faced a lot of questioning about the timeline of their affair. They revealed things had only become “serious” in February. That was just one month after Amanda and Kyle announced their decision to divorce.
It’s understandable then that viewers and the Summer House cast alike are still confused about when Amanda and West’s romance actually began … especially considering how friendly they’ve been on Season 10. This is something that even Kyle picked up on in this week’s episode.
The Loverboy founder opened up about the lack of communication between himself and his then-wife, who had skipped going to the Hamptons. “My text thread with Amanda is perhaps one of the most depressing text threads of all time,” he said. Kyle then read out the series of unanswered messages he had sent.
In comparison, Amanda quickly replied to a group chat message from West … which did not go unnoticed. “The only reaction we got all weekend from her was when West said in the group chat, ‘Best night ever’,” he pointed out.
“Her ears perked up,” he said of her reaction to West’s message. “That’s what it took to give her a little FOMO.”
