Welcome to the recap for Summer House Season 10, Episode 13. Last week, things were extra cringe when West and Ciara decided to be best friends again. KJ and Dara also made the big leap to be exclusive; however, Mia and Ciara thought they were moving too fast. Meanwhile, Mia met with a medium who connected her to her mother. And she advised a big change was needed in her life. But did that involve Mia’s boyfriend? Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 10, Episode 13: “Ship Happens.”

Carl had a successful soft launch for Soft Bar and even slightly impressed Lindsay. The party also brought back numerous Summer House alums to celebrate the occasion. However, Kyle wasn’t so happy when Carl left nonalcoholic Loverboy off the menu. Kyle was also upset at Amanda for ignoring his texts and only responding to West in the group chat instead. While Amanda had her frustrations with Kyle, she was most perturbed when she found out about Ciara and West’s upcoming “double date.”

Everyone at the house wasn’t sure what to expect when they met up with Ciara and West at the boat. Would they be friends? Get back together? Or was the war continuing on? Mia predicted they were going the friendship route, while Kyle admitted he was a “helpless” romantic and hoped they got back together.

What they got was friendship, and Ciara and West greeted them while holding hands. Still, everyone acted like they just announced their engagement. Jesse shouted, “They’re doing what I was hoping they would be doing!” While Ben and KJ hugged them and cheered, “Congrats!”

Ciara told Mia that West was her “person” and they had a friendship that was hard to ignore. Mia recognized how difficult it was for Ciara and was proud of her for forgiving him.

Meanwhile, Amanda called Kyle but ignored him and talked with Ciara. She was upset that West said he had the best night of his life this weekend and she wasn’t there. Awkward …

Kyle then told Jesse he felt “weird” without Amanda around. Jesse wondered if he was having a good time since she was gone. Kyle stated, “I mean, yeah. Dude, when I’m just being myself I feel like I just irritate her.” Then Kyle shut the conversation down.

Back at the house, Ciara had two new Bed Bugs with her, Kyle and Ben. She dished to Ben’s girlfriend Sabrina over FaceTime all the details of what happened with West. That’s when Sabrina spilled the beans that West had a crush on her.

Both Ben and Kyle sat up right in bed. Kyle was hopeful it would work out, while Ben smacked his face for telling Sabrina that intel. Ciara laughed it off, but old feelings die hard.

Jesse gets messy

At dinner, Carl talked about the upcoming soft launch for Soft Bar. Everyone was happy with all the progress he made going to a brick-and-mortar in a year. Carl thanked everyone for their support, especially the ones who invested. Kyle took note of that dig to him.

In his confessional, Kyle said he was “shook.” He said he had talked with Carl about why he couldn’t invest several times.

Kyle said, “I’ve tried to be open and honest where I’m at with my business, marriage, our sex life. He knows more than everybody. He’s not communicating to me. Because I’m having to hear about his issues through other people.” Cut to Jesse spilling the tea to Kyle about how “sad” Carl was he didn’t invest.

Still, any animosity was put on hold as the group went out to party. After they came back, Kyle texted Amanda. And he got crickets. Kyle stated it was “one of the most depressing text threads of all time.”

Every text from him got ignored. Yet, he noticed she responded in the group chat when West wrote “best night of my life.” Kyle said, “That’s what it took to give her a little FOMO?” The wheels were turning.

Jesse continued to get messy by spilling more tea. This time about Kyle and Amanda. He told Ciara that Kyle was able to “be himself without Amanda yelling at him” this weekend.

Then he dished he believed Kyle and Amanda hadn’t slept together in years. Ciara and Mia gasped. Before they could even fully ask who told him, he blurted, “Carl!” Ciara cracked up. But the three wondered if Amanda and Kyle would ever be compatible again.

Back in the city, Levi was back from the dead and met with Bailey to help plan a party for her show “it girl.” Across town, Amanda met up with Ciara to discuss what she missed over the weekend and how things were going with Kyle.

In her confessional, Amanda shared she explained her relationship with Kyle to their therapist and likened it to a “psychological thriller.” She went on about Kyle being unfaithful but left out the twist ending. Ciara wondered if Amanda would ever be open to taking a break. Amanda was game but noted that Kyle would never go for it.

It was now time for Carl to shine with the Soft Bar soft launch. Carl told us, “Now you f*cking see it. Pure passion, the hard work … works. Told ya.” Cough, cough, Lindsay.

Soon everyone arrived and was impressed. Ben and Sabrina caught up with KJ, and Sabrina shared their relationship was continuing at warp speed as she was meeting Ben’s family for Christmas. KJ joked, “Better them than me!”

West was not as thrilled about Sabrina rushing things. He was annoyed at her for pushing a double date with him and Ciara. He said, “It’s too soon for that, you know? We’ve been friends for f*cking five minutes. We’re not date ready. But Sabrina booked our f*cking wedding venue already.”

Kyle was also annoyed, but at Carl for not putting non-alc Loverboy on the menu. Kyle said in his confessional, “Things were set in motion. For me to show up and there’s just no Loverboy, I’m like … damn. I don’t know if this is punishment for not investing, but it hurts.”

A reunion of reunions

The episode ended not only with Soft Bar launching but also a soft launch for In The City. Several cast members of the new show joined to celebrate. Summer House alums Luke, Andrea, and Danielle were all there. Lindsay joked, “This is like a reunion of reunions.”

Carl then gave a heartwarming speech about Soft Bar. It was inspired by his brother, who had passed, and the challenges his family has had with alcoholism. This received a warm round of applause. Lindsay even gifted Carl a “soft” teddy bear for him to hug when needed.

While Lindsay and Carl remained somewhat friendly, Lindsay wanted to avoid his mom Sharon at all costs. However, Sharon found her first.

When Sharon asked Lindsay how her daughter was, Lindsay got in a jab. She stated, “Slightly mean, just like me.” Sharon retorted, “You are you.” Then she shrugged her shoulders. Can Sharon be on In The City too?

Lindsay then ran off to avoid Danielle, as they were not on speaking terms. Meanwhile, Amanda and West tried to get some alone time until Kyle interrupted them. Then the two continued to talk like Kyle wasn’t there.

But Amanda was thrown for a loop when Jesse spilled the tea about West and Ciara’s upcoming “double date.” Amanda scoffed, “How did we go from zero to a hundred?” She added, “West needs to be cautious because I don’t think she can handle just a friendship. But we’ll see.”

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
