Donald Trump Jr. Emerges as Possible Host for Amazon Apprentice Revival

Amazon is exploring a fresh take on one of reality TV’s biggest business shows, and Donald Trump Jr. could be central to it. Internal talks suggest a revival could be in the pipeline, with a potential new host tied closely to the original legacy of the series.

Amazon eyes Apprentice reboot with Donald Trump Jr.

Early internal discussions at Amazon MGM Studios include the possibility of bringing back The Apprentice with Donald Trump Jr. as host, as per Wall Street Journal. According to those familiar with the matter, executives have floated the idea, though the project is still in its early stages. No formal approach has been made to the Trump family, and the show is not yet in active development.

If it moves forward, the reboot would likely stream on Prime Video, building on Amazon’s ownership of the show’s catalog after acquiring MGM in 2022. The original series, once led by Donald Trump, ran for 14 seasons on NBC and became a major hit, helping boost his national profile. The format followed contestants competing for a business role, combining corporate challenges with high-stakes eliminations.

Back when it first hit TV, The Apprentice turned into a big win for NBC. Donald Trump didn’t just front the show; he also came on board as an executive producer and cashed in on its success. The buzz even led to spin-offs featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Martha Stewart, though those versions didn’t stick around for long.

The idea of a reboot fits into Amazon’s broader strategy to expand its programming reach. Executives have been looking at projects that appeal to a wide audience base, including viewers aligned with conservative themes. Around the same time these discussions began, Amazon also invested heavily in a documentary focused on Melania Trump, signaling a growing interest in similar content spaces.

Despite the buzz, Amazon has publicly downplayed the certainty of the project. A company spokesperson said conversations about the show’s future are only preliminary and stressed that no decisions have been made regarding development or casting.
