Next week, Below Deck Down Under welcomes a new stewardess aboard the superyacht Katina. This season is almost over. But from everything that’s already been teased, this new yachtie is likely to make quite the splash, and fast.

Did Daisy Kelliher maybe trade in one problem for another? Possibly. Unfortunately.

To explain, fans have already learned several clues about this new crew member. These clues have all arrived via her alleged close friend and current chef assistant, Elena “Ellie” Dubaich. Ellie is extremely excited to welcome her friend on board. But as Ellie also teased, others might not feel the same, especially when they learn about how she recently “clashed” with her former chief stew.

The interior department is already struggling. So hopefully, Ellie overspoke, and her friend will help us end Season 4 on a high note. Either way, ahead of next week’s episode, here’s everything we know about the new stewardess joining BDDU.

Why is a new stew joining BDDU?

Last night, Jenna Woudberg ran to Daisy for help. Mike Durrant kept winding her up, she explained. As for how, Mike was an HOD, he claimed on repeat, since he knew it made Jenna, who actually outranked him as a second stew, mad. Fully annoyed, Daisy found Mike, and the conversation that followed was absolutely asinine.

“What did I say about winding people up?” Daisy asked Mike. But Mike chose to lie, suggesting, “I haven’t said anything.” Ignoring his lie, Daisy argued, “Okay, you’re working until 9 pm tonight.” But Mike pushed back, saying, “We’ll see about that.”

His words stopped Daisy in her tracks. Seeking clarification, she questioned, “Excuse me? What did you just say to me?” But stubbornly, Mike dug his toes even further into the proverbial sand, answering, “I said I’m not working till 9 pm tonight.”

“Okay. You can get off the boat. Get off the boat,” Daisy demanded. Then, Daisy went to the wheelhouse to speak with Captain Jason Chambers.

“I’ve heard the full story from Daisy, and what it’s come down to is disrespect to your team leader,” Captain Jason told Mike shortly thereafter. “Look, you’ve been given the warnings. There’s a toxicity onboard, and you’re at the source,” he added.

“Daisy and João [Franco] have done everything possible to help you flourish here. You think it’s a bit of a joke. I won’t tolerate it. I need you to leave the boat today. I’m sending you home,” Captain Jason further explained.

And with that, Mike left the yacht, leaving an opening for a new hire to come aboard.

NBC just released an eye-opening reel ahead of Episode 15. In this clip, we see Captain Jason asking Eddy Hounsell if he knows “where the dock is.” Eddy says, “Yep,” so Captain Jason says, “I need you to go there and pick up our new stewardess.

Then, in the galley, we hear Ellie asking Ben Robinson, “Did you hear who’s coming?” Ben asks, “You know her?” Ellie answers, “Yeah, yeah, she’s a good friend of mine.” And then, Ellie drops some rather interesting tea.

Apparently, her friend “clashed a lot with her chief stew” during a recent charter season. “So, good luck to Daisy,” Ellie jokes. “Well, I need to see a picture of her,” Ben states. Using her phone, Ellie pulls one up, and after a quick look, Ben says, “Oh, wow, she’s definitely very pretty.”

However, she also “looks like trouble, man,” Ben adds. But not for Ellie, because, as Ellie explains, “She’s going to have my back. She’s a ride or die for me.” And then, we see this stewardess’s legs walking down the dock, pulling her luggage, waving and saying “Hi” to a very smiley Eddy.

While Ellie was talking to Ben in the galley, Jenna was standing just outside in the crew mess. So, she heard everything, including the part where Ben called this new hire “pretty.” As a result, in this teaser, we see Jenna walking down the hallway to her cabin, sighing, “Not a good sign.”

When Jenna enters her cabin, she tells her resting roommate, Betul Yazici, “I’m feeling a bit off.” Betul asks, “Why?” Jenna responds, “We’re getting our stew today. I’m scared she’s not going to respect me for being her superior.”

To backtrack, during Episode 10, Daisy asked Ellie to switch places with Jenna on the dock, since Jenna was the second stew. “You’re not my head of department,” Ellie sassed Daisy from the safety of her confessional. Later, Ellie approached Jenna, asking, “Did you ask to stand in line in front of me? Is that where that came from?”

Jenna looked confused, but Ellie doubled down, claiming, “We’re the same rank. Sous-chef is the same as second stew.” And yes, on more than one level, Ellie was clearly wrong.

But in her talking head in this reel, Jenna suggests, “The new stew is friends with Ellie, which doesn’t make me happy. I don’t get along with Ellie. Ellie doesn’t even respect my rank. Birds of a feather flock together, and we don’t need any more pigeons on board.”

Back in their cabin, Jenna notes, “Whoever you’re friends with, you are like them. There’s a rotten apple on board. And now we have two.”
