Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole joined the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 17, which premiered just last month. The decision to join this cast “was a no-brainer for me,” Pinky recently confessed. After all, earlier this year, her finances, setbacks, and business narratives spun many headlines, leaving “that girl” fully “prepped” for her role on RHOA.
Pinky says coming on RHOA was a “no-brainer”

Last February, Pinky’s business endeavors were “all out in the streets.” To rehash, Pinky temporarily lost control of her Vegan fast food chain, walked through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and then bought back her Slutty Vegan company. So, as Pinky just admitted to OK!, “Going on the show was a no-brainer for me.”
“I’m like, ‘Well, my information is all out in the media anyway,’” Pinky explained. So, “I might as well!” Overall, her experiences definitely made her feel “prepped for this,” she confessed.
But also, Pinky hopes to use her experiences to “inspire somebody else and give somebody else an opportunity to understand business in a whole new way.” Because of this, “I wouldn’t take it back for a thing,” Pinky stressed. “There is going to be somebody who’s sitting in their house, watching this show, and they’re going to see me and think, ‘I’m not going to give up because Pinky fought through the hardest moments of her life.'”
Pinky also offered some advice for her fellow entrepreneurs. “You are going to fail, and it’s okay to fail because failing is not failing,” she said. Instead, “It is finding the aspiration in the losses. Some of the biggest companies of our time, that we patronize today, have failed at something.”
Case in point, “Amazon almost went bankrupt. Delta went bankrupt. American Airlines had its financial challenges. Some of the biggest chain restaurants have closed their doors and filed for bankruptcy.”
And after, Pinky encouraged, “Most of them have bounced back. In the failure,” she ended, “you really learn lessons that will make you stronger for the next time.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
