Could the DWTS champ become the next Bachelor on ABC?
Since Robert won the mirrorball trophy with his partner Witney Carson, Robert has been busy wrestling and outrunning crocodiles and spreading his message about animal conservation back home in Australia.
He’s also recently been revealed to be coming back to DWTS. The franchise is bringing the Season 34 winner back to television to host the first-of-its-kind DWTS spinoff, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro. As the name implies, this new show is about finding the next pro for the popular series.
Could a run as The Bachelor be in his future, too? The franchise has experienced a bit of a speed bump recently when they shelved the unaired Bachelorette season with beleaguered Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul.
According to rumored news, Taylor’s season will be aired from July through August. In August, the new Bachelor will be announced. Rumors continue that the franchise is looking to finalize things with Robert. But if that doesn’t push through, it may be the runner-up of Taylor’s season.
People are hoping they can lock Robert down for the show (it’s me, I’m people!). Though rumors paired him with fellow DWTS champion Xochitl Gomez, it appears that he’s still single. If he does make his Bachelor Nation debut, though, contestants should be extra careful because “big sis” Witney is sure to help him find someone who really deserves him.
