One source claimed the Duchess is fully aware she is entering a difficult situation and knows Camilla may not be easily won over. That said, “she’s made up her mind to try,” an insider told In Touch. “[Meghan’s] going to throw herself into it and hope that her true intentions are seen.”
The source further claimed Meghan has been closely following Camilla’s recent public work and charitable initiatives. In particular, insiders alleged she has focused on Camilla’s campaign supporting survivors of domestic violence. Since Meghan has also spoken about women’s advocacy in the past, the source said she believes the issue could become a genuine point of connection between them.
Still, the insider suggested Meghan knows any attempt to break the ice could easily be criticized. According to the report, she allegedly worries Camilla may view her efforts as performative or insincere. “She knows Camilla will be looking to find fault with her,” the source claimed.
