Britney Spears made bizarre remarks during arrest, police report says

According to PEOPLE, a police report detailed that Britney Spears made strange comments during her arrest. The “Toxic” crooner reportedly said, “I could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you. I’m an angel.” Spears made this comment while noting that she considered her level of intoxication a “zero” out of 10. She reportedly declined an alcohol screening test.

The report stated that the pop star took two breathalyzer tests and blew .05 and .06. Notably, the numbers are both below the legal limit of .08% BAC in California. Once Spears was handcuffed, officers discovered a bottle of Adderall in her purse. According to the report, the Adderall wasn’t prescribed to her. The singer admitted that she had taken 200 mg of Lamictal, an anti-epileptic medication.

Spears reportedly told the officers that she consumed Lamictal for epilepsy and “mood swings” and Adderall to stay “elevated.” Officers also discovered an “empty wine glass in the cup holder between the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat” (via Fox News). The report also claimed that during the arrest, Spears suddenly switched to a British accent. Not only that, her mood reportedly “changed from confrontational and agitated to flamboyant and compliant.”

The 44-year-old pop star reportedly tried to bribe the officers by saying, “You can come to my house — I’ll make you food or lasagna or whatever you want. I have a pool,” she added. However, later, she changed her tune toward the officers. As per The New York Times, Spears accused the police officer of being “mean to me” and “lying.”
