Rumors were swirling that Summer House star West Wilson was still on some dating apps. Of course, that would be awkward, because his secret romance with Amanda Batula blew up their friend group. At the time, Amanda was separated from her husband, Kyle Cooke. However, her romance destroyed her friendship with Ciara Miller, as Ciara previously dated West. The scandal was beyond messy.
West Wilson sets the record straight on dating app rumors
Recently, West and Amanda were spotted walking one of her dogs in New York City, looking casual and relaxed. The couple confirmed their relationship in March. In addition, West brought Amanda home to meet his parents, which may signal a step forward in their relationship. Then again, hasn’t everyone met West’s parents?
During an episode of his podcast, Show Me Something, West brought up a rumor linking him to dating apps. “People have been making fake Rayas of me in the last six months,” West explained. “I’m not on Raya or a dating app, but I haven’t been on dating apps since like, I think 2023 or 2022. Yeah, I haven’t been on dating apps in a long, long, long, long time.”
However, it seems that West found the fake profiles humorous. “I just hope that when the fake me’s DM girls, they’re like, not using wack game. Like, if you’re gonna pretend to be me on the internet, don’t be a f*cking dork *ss loser,” West quipped.
While the upcoming Summer House reunion sounds explosive, it seems that one cast member may be ready to hear West out. Kyle left a voice note for West, stating that, “At some point, I would love to have a convo,” and “we will hash it out.” Somehow, I don’t think that Amanda should be checking her voice notes for a message from Ciara. After that betrayal, their friendship could be over for good.
