In a recent interview, his wife, Jill Biden, recalled his 2024 debate with Donald Trump. Subsequently, she gave an update on the 83-year-old’s health.
Jill Biden shares update on Joe Biden’s health
In her recent interview with Today, Jill Biden provided an update on Joe Biden’s cancer. The former first lady admitted that her husband is “doing OK.” She continued, “If he had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, that’s one thing, because that can be cured.” Jill explained, “But the fact that it metastasized to his bones — that makes it a whole different story. So I think Joe will live with cancer for the rest of his life.”
Meanwhile, the 73-year-old shared that Biden was aging in the office. “He got older, and we all saw him aging,” she stated, adding “There were words that he would forget. But, you know, we were all aging.” However, doctors assured the couple that Biden was healthy as Jill “saw him doing his job” and “work hours into the night” daily.
“Yes, did I see him slowing down a little bit? When he got tired, did he stutter a little bit at night? Yeah, sure,” the mother of one noted. “But he was still doing the job, and he was doing a good job,” Jill said.
The educator also recalled her husband’s 2024 debate with Donald Trump amid the release of her memoir, “View from the East Wing.” She stated that during the debate, she was “watching, just like everybody else was, scared to death, like, ‘What is going on?”
Jill continued, “He gets off the stage. I see he appears to be OK. He says to me, ‘Jill, I really, in other words, messed up, didn’t I?’ And I said, ‘Yes, you did.” Nevertheless, she motivated her husband in a post-debate event. “Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question. You knew all the facts,” she told Biden that night.
