Another Season 35 Dancing with the Stars cast member has been announced, and this contestant has ties to late-night TV. Guillermo Rodriguez, the beloved sidekick on Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be hitting the ballroom. And it seemed like Guillermo was eager to get started.

Jimmy Kimmel made the surprise announcement during his show on June 17. “I have been authorized, deputized even, by the Walt Disney company and our television network ABC, to reveal the name of a major celebrity contestant who will be competing in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars,” Jimmy stated. “This person is someone you know, someone you love. He is someone we know quite well. Do you know who it is, Guillermo?”
Of course, Guillermo pretended to be in the dark. Then Jimmy shared that “our very own Guillermo” would be joining the competition. Cue Guillermo’s entrance, in a blue outfit with colorful, ruffled sleeves as he showed off his dance moves. “This September, Giullermo will become the first-ever parking lot security guard to dance with the stars,” Jimmy noted.
“I’m excited,” Guillermo stated. “I’m very happy.” So far, DWTS has announced four cast members, including Guillermo. Jackson Olson, a Savannah Bananas second baseman, is set to compete, along with two reality stars.
Summer House star Ciara Miller was prepped and ready to hit the dance floor. She has her fingers crossed that she will be waltzing with DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy. Now that would be must-see TV.
In addition, The Traitors alum Maura Higgins will also be part of the Season 35 cast. And Maura’s Traitors co-star, and DWTS pro Mark Ballas, had high hopes for her. “Maura is just a laugh, and she’s up for it,” he previously stated. “So I think she’s going to do really well.”
The rest of the DWTS cast will be revealed on September 2 on Good Morning America.
