When navigating strict broadcasting filters, Islanders on Love Island USA often invent code words to help them chat about their after-dark activities. And last night in Season 8, “French fries” became the newest term these contestants invented. Looks like we are going with a fast food menu this season, eh?
Who’s responsible for the Love Island USA code word “french fries,” and what does it mean?
Islander Mackenzie “Kenzie” Annis has coupled up with three men so far. Her current partner, however, is Corbin Mims. And thanks to these two, the term “French fries” is now trending alongside Love Island USA Season 8.
Last night, Kenzie and Corbin hooked up in the Islander’s communal bedroom. Trinity Tatum heard their activities, so in the morning, she asked, “Which one of you was doing French fries?” Trinity also explained that what she heard sounded “too wet” to be just kissing. So, was Kenzie getting some “French fries,” Trinity wondered?
As Kenzie told the cameras, “I was definitely getting some French fries. [I was] Feeling good. We were probably doing a bit much, honestly, but I feel a strong connection with Corbin. We probably got a little bit carried away.”
While lying on the lawn, Trinity and Kenzie further used this term. Trinity gave fans a clue about what it might stand for when she admitted she also did “French fries,” but “We didn’t really do anything.” So, fans immediately ruled out intercourse. And then, these viewers got to work, dissecting every clue from this episode to determine what these ladies were talking about via an entire Reddit thread, asking, “What does French fries mean?”
First, “French fries are a ‘finger food.” So, that. However, as others suggested, “I think [French fries means] oral, lol.” Either way, Love Island USA Season 8 fans agreed, the term French fries stood for “A type of foreplay, not the main course.”
Love Island USA Season 8 streams daily (except Wednesdays) at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
