Ex-NFL Star Marcellus Wiley Accused of Threatening to Kill Wife in Domestic Dispute

Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley is facing serious allegations following a reported domestic dispute involving his wife, former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member Annemarie Wiley. The incident allegedly unfolded over the Fourth of July weekend at a Florida hotel, where the couple was staying with their children.

According to an arrest affidavit, Annemarie told deputies she feared for her safety after Wiley allegedly threatened to kill her and made physical contact during an argument. Wiley has denied the allegations.

An arrest report alleges Marcellus Wiley threatened his wife Annemarie and made physical contact during the reported altercation

According to TMZ, the incident took place Saturday at the World Marriott in Orlando, where the family was attending a youth basketball tournament. Police responded after Annemarie reportedly called to report a battery and requested that Wiley be removed from their hotel room.

The arrest affidavit states Annemarie told officers that Wiley threatened to take her life. She also alleged that the previous morning, while she was sitting on the bed, he stood over her and “used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek” in front of their 7-year-old daughter, according to TMZ.

The affidavit further states that Annemarie told deputies she plans to divorce Wiley and claimed there had been an unreported history of violence during their marriage.

Wiley disputed those claims when speaking with deputies. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, cited by Fox Orlando, he denied there had been any physical altercation and said he never laid a hand on his wife. He also showed officers text messages that allegedly reflected cordial communication between the two over the previous day.

Despite Wiley’s account, deputies said they found probable cause to arrest him for domestic violence battery based on Annemarie’s written statement. He was taken into custody on Saturday, initially held without bond, and later released.

Before retiring in 2006, Wiley played for the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He later built a broadcasting career with ESPN and FOX Sports. Annemarie Wiley joined “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” as a full-time cast member during Season 13 but did not return after Bravo opted not to renew her role.

The allegations remain unproven, and no court has determined Wiley’s guilt. The case is ongoing.
