According to new claims, he remains convinced that his wife reflects the compassion and warmth that made his late mother so beloved. Those comparisons, however, are said to have sparked disagreement behind palace walls. Even so, insiders claim Harry stands firmly by his views, while Markle is said to feel deeply honored by his unwavering belief in her.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be unfazed by the criticism surrounding comparisons between the Duchess of Sussex and Princess Diana. In fact, insiders claim the couple sees those similarities in a very different light.
Harry has spoken publicly about the subject before. During the couple’s 2022 Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” he said Markle reminds him of his mother in several ways. He praised her “compassion,” “empathy,” “confidence,” and “warmth,” describing them as qualities Diana was also known for.
Now, a fresh report by Heat Magazine suggests those feelings have only grown stronger. According to an insider’s claims, Harry believes Markle has “all the qualities people admired in his mother.” The source further alleged that he feels anyone who cannot see those similarities is “blind.”
Meanwhile, Markle is said to appreciate her husband’s confidence. “Meghan’s incredibly honored that Harry has so much faith in her,” the insider claimed. Moreover, the source alleged that she sees “[nothing] wrong with trying to follow in her late mother-in-law’s footsteps.” Instead, she reportedly views it as a way to carry forward Diana’s legacy of compassion and public service.
That said, not everyone appears to agree with Harry’s perspective. Per the same source, Prince William allegedly finds the comparisons difficult to accept. The insider claimed William considers the idea of Markle being portrayed as “Diana 2.0” to be “deeply offensive.” Not only that, they suggested that the future king believes the comparisons are “way off the mark.”
