He has shared some of his personal behind-the-scenes footage with his wife, Beyoncé, before he hits the stage at Yankee Stadium. The sweet clip captured the superstar couple having a peaceful family moment before the celebration started. The surprise came as Jay-Z marked a major career milestone with two special concerts.

Jay-Z marked his 30th anniversary in music with two sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium over the weekend. One concert was dedicated to his 1996 debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the other was to his 2001 classic, The Blueprint. Before the first performance, an opening video showed Beyoncé giving Jay-Z a fresh haircut in the stadium seats. The couple, who married in 2008 and share three children, smiled and laughed together as she buzzed his signature hairstyle into a shorter cut.
The haircut followed another recent change in Jay-Z’s hair journey. In June, Cécred posted a video of Beyoncé combing Jay-Z’s locs for the first time in eight years. According to GQ, hairstylist Letisia “Lety” Ravelo completed the process with help from Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy over six days. The change also revealed Jay-Z’s natural hair texture.
Beyoncé explained in the Cécred video that Blue Ivy inspired the journey years earlier. Blue, now approximately 5 years old, didn’t feel confident in her natural hair, she said. The discussion prompted Jay-Z to let his hair grow so Blue could see that they had the same texture. Beyoncé also said the hairstyle honored Jay-Z’s late father, Adnis Reeves, before thanking him for trusting Cécred and calling him “forever the blueprint.”
Family remained in the spotlight throughout the weekend. Beyoncé and Blue Ivy both made surprise appearances during Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium performances. The family has also just been to the 2026 Met Gala together, where Beyonce has been a co-chair for the first time in 10 years. From a heartfelt haircut to a milestone concert, Jay-Z’s anniversary celebration became a true family affair.
