Prince Harry sparked fresh discussion about reshaping his public image and being a more “relatable husband” to Meghan Markle. This comes after his latest podcast appearance following his headline-making UK visit. A branding expert believes the Duke of Sussex revealed a more relaxed side to himself during the conversation. According to the expert, this one could resonate more strongly with the public if he continues in the same direction.
Prince Harry is ‘closer to being seen as a relatable husband’ to Meghan Markle with podcast move, per expert
Prince Harry, 41, wrapped up a busy UK trip recently. It included public engagements, a court setback, discussions about his accommodation, and a meeting with members of the royal family. Amid those events, he also made a surprise appearance on the UK podcast “Joe Marler Will See You Now.” During the episode, Harry spoke candidly about trauma, his work, and personal experiences. The prince revealed a more humorous and easygoing side to his personality.
The interview received mixed reactions from audiences. However, brand and culture expert Nick Ede believes the appearance could help Harry reconnect with the latter. Speaking to the Daily Express, Ede argued that Harry’s conversational style on the podcast made him appear more approachable than many of his recent public appearances. “For Harry’s reputation, authenticity is his greatest asset,” Ede said. He added that the appearance shifted the public’s focus away from ongoing royal disputes.
“This appearance moves him away from being viewed solely as someone caught up in royal drama and closer to being seen as a relatable husband, father and veteran with a good sense of humour,” Ede explained. The expert believes Harry could benefit by continuing to give similar interviews instead of revisiting family disagreements. “If he continues doing more conversations like this, rather than focusing on past grievances, it could be one of the smartest moves he’s made for rebuilding his public image,” he said.
Ede also suggested the interview reminded listeners of the version of Harry that many people connected with before his departure from royal life. “He has so often been seen through the lens of legal battles, family tensions and serious interviews, but here we saw a far more natural, relaxed and genuinely funny side of him,” the expert said.
