Brittany Cartwright says she feels deeply hurt after learning about Jax Taylor’s new romance with someone she once considered family. The reality TV personality claims she was “shocked and betrayed” after spending more than 10 years with someone she trusted. She is now speaking openly about how the news shifted her perspective on someone who stood by her side through many great moments. The emotional fallout marks the latest development in her ongoing split from Taylor.

According to People, Cartwright spoke publicly for the first time about Taylor’s reported relationship with her former publicist, Lori Krebs. She said Krebs had been “like a sister to me for 10 years.” Cartwright added, “It’s just complete, complete betrayal.” TMZ released photos of Taylor and Krebs together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Cartwright told PEOPLE that Krebs helped her during numerous pivotal moments in her career and life. She said Krebs helped with her 2019 wedding and stood by her during her divorce. Cartwright claimed, “She knows every in and out of everything in my life and still chose to sleep with the enemy, basically.” Taylor and Krebs both strongly deny Cartwright’s version of events through separate statements from their attorneys.
According to the outlet, Cartwright said Krebs sent her a message shortly before the photos became public. She remembered reading that Krebs was aware that the news would be “incredibly shocking and painful. Cartwright said she replied, “Lori, this is so disgusting. This is horrible. You’re dead to me.” She said they haven’t spoken since then.
Taylor’s attorney denied Cartwright’s abuse allegations in a statement to the outlet, while Krebs’ attorney rejected claims that she acted unethically or had a romantic relationship with Taylor years earlier. Now, Cartwright wants to move on without either of them in her life. “The snakes have been removed from my life,” she said. She said she thinks things “can only go up” from here.
