It was reported that she and Prince Harry were “extremely unpopular” in the country. This comes after the couple, along with their kids, met King Charles and Queen Camilla at the beginning of July.
Royal fans reportedly believe Meghan Markle won’t be able to rebuild her UK popularity
Royal fans reportedly gave a verdict on Meghan Markle’s UK popularity. According to a report by the Daily Express, a poll was conducted between July 21 and 22. In it, Britons’ votes showed how popular and likable Markle and Prince Harry were in the country. It was reported that 29% of people favored the duke, and only 22% favored Meghan. Allegedly, they seemed to be “extremely unpopular” in Harry’s homeland.
Furthermore, another poll, between August 5 and 6, revealed royal fans’ verdict over the Sussexes rebuilding their life in the UK. For those unversed, Harry and Markle stepped down as working royals in 2020. Although they left the palace and their royal responsibilities, they were not stripped of their Duke and Duchess titles. They seemingly went against the royals by slamming them on the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview. Moreover, Harry criticized his family members in his memoir, “Spare.”
Their estranged relationship continued for a long time. The duke offered an olive branch to his father, King Charles, last year. Since then, rumors of their royal return are making headlines. Last month, Harry brought his wife and kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK to meet the king and Queen Camilla.
Despite all these efforts, the outlet reported that royal fans might not believe the Sussexes could rebuild their popularity in the UK. The poll results showed that 3,142 people, out of 3,190, claimed that Markle would remain unpopular in the country.
