In a recent interview, the veteran educator shared her thoughts on whether the country will ever have a female president before focusing her attention on Harris’ surprising loss to Trump.

During her recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Jill Biden shared a pessimistic take on a possible female president and recalled Kamala Harris’ recent election defeat to solidify her point.
When asked if “we’ll ever see a woman president in our lifetimes” by Ripa, the former First Lady replied, “In my lifetime? I’m 75. I feel like probably not in my lifetime, Kelly, but maybe in yours.”
Biden then highlighted how Kamala Harris losing to Donald Trump came as a real shocker to her. “I really did think last time that Kamala was gonna win,” she remarked, adding, “I was out on the campaign trail for her. I saw the excitement, I saw the crowds, I saw it at the convention, I saw all the energy, and I thought, ‘Finally, we’re going to have a woman president.'”
She continued, “And I must tell you, I was shocked the morning after when I got up at 5:00 in the morning to feed Willow and get ready for the day, and I found out that she had lost. Shocked.”
Despite having several issues with Kamala Harris, Jill Biden actively campaigned for her in her presidential battle against Donald Trump (via RadarOnline). In an earlier interview with CBS Sunday Morning’s Rita Braver, Biden noted, “I was out on the trail, I think, every single day. I traveled the entire country,” and even claimed that Harris “would be a good president.”
