Royal author Simon Vigar examines Meghan Markle’s Princess Diana potential
Simon Vigar, a royal author, reportedly examined Meghan Markle‘s potential as Princess Diana in his new book, titled “The Four Wives of Windsor.” As reported by RadarOnline, the author wrote that the Duchess of Sussex had “huge Princess Diana potential.” He also described her as “obviously a massive asset.” According to the author, the Duchess was “brilliant with the crowd” and “would have been a major player.”
In the meantime, per the news outlet, royal author Simon Vigar further said that Meghan Markle was “a doer.” The author was reflecting on the charity work the Duchess of Sussex did. However, the royal author then expressed, “It is such a shame that it’s gone to waste.” He also claimed that the Duchess “should have been, could have been, fantastic for the royal family.”
The author continued, “But egos on both sides got in the way.” He then explained that “Nobody was talking to each other” by 2019. According to the author, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, “seemed to be on a path where they felt alone.”
In the meantime, the news outlet further reported that Simon Vigar also said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “should have been transformative.” However, the Sussex couple ultimately missed the opportunity, per the royal author.
Meanwhile, per the news outlet, another royal source claimed, “Comparisons with Diana have followed Meghan almost from the moment she joined the family.” The person continued, “Because of the way she connected with the public and championed humanitarian causes.” “There was always an expectation that she could carve out a similar role, albeit in her own style,” the source added.
