Jimmy Fallon Has a Reflecting Pool Joke for Donald Trump’s Bruised Hands

Jimmy Fallon has once again fired shots at Donald Trump, this time using the much-discussed bruises on the president’s hands to make his joke. In a recent monologue, the veteran comedian mocked the POTUS on a slew of current affairs, including the latter’s latest statements about the sorry state of several Washington attractions.

Jimmy Fallon jokes about Donald Trump’s bruised hands and reflecting pool

During the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the titular host threw shade at Donald Trump’s recent claims about the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and National Mall lawn.

He started by poking fun at Trump’s relationship with his wife and First Lady, Melania. Then, Jimmy Fallon turned the audience’s gaze towards Donald Trump’s complaints about “vandals” supposedly damaging large areas of grass at the National Mall, “right where he held a rally on the Fourth of July.”

He quipped, “These are tough times for Trump. The grass is brown. The Reflecting Pool is green. And the bruise on his hand is blue.”

Notably, the POTUS had made the claims about the alleged damage dealt to the reflecting pool and the National Mall lawns during one of his social media frenzies over the weekend. Taking to his Truth Social profile on August 16, Trump wrote, “Look what VANDALS did to the grass connecting the vandalized World War II Monument and the vandalized Reflecting Pool, which will be opened again, and better than ever, shortly. Anybody who thinks the Reflecting Pool wasn’t vandalized should go back to Law School!”

However, the 80-year-old politician failed to produce any evidence for his allegations. Instead, he simply shared an overview of the lawn, which highlighted several discolored patches on the field.

Adding to his rant against Donald Trump, Jimmy Fallon remarked, “But don’t worry. Trump has a plan. He’s gonna let the healthy grass grow long and then rake it over to the bare spot. Just cover it. You comb it right over. You don’t even notice it.”
