Jessie J has been making headlines lately because of her London concerts, but something unexpected happened during one of the shows that forced the famous pop star to go off script after things got ugly in the crowd.
Jessie J halted her Party in the Paddock set after a fight broke out and ordered the fans removed
According to the Page Six coverage, the 38-year-old pop star was performing at the Party in the Paddock festival in the UK when a fight broke out in the crowd. Keeping everyone’s safety in mind, Jessie J stopped the show for a while to ensure that the concert-goers involved in the fight were removed from the crowd.
Online footage posted from the event also showed the English singer initially trying to calm things down. However, when the situation began getting out of hand, she decided to have those involved removed from the audience.
J said, “Can everyone just try and stay quiet, because the louder it is, the worse it will be. This is alcohol and ego; just calm down.”
“Just calm down. Take a breath. They’re seeing red,” J tried her best, then she added when things went out of control, “So many people have spent money on this show, to see me, so can you just get rid of them so we can carry on.”
She concluded, “Take them out, we don’t need them here. People have been waiting hours to see us. Just take them out. Get them an Uber, I’ll pay for it.”
The UK-born pop star then asked the audience to clear a path so those involved could leave. Someone from the crowd, who was presumably involved in the fight, said something that appeared to be the final straw for the singer, causing J to lose her patience and take the final step of having them removed.
As for Jessie J’s upcoming shows, she has three more performances scheduled in August: August 27, 29, and 30. All three shows will take place at different locations across the UK.
