Meghan Markle is reportedly making plans for her possible return to the UK, with her lifestyle brand ‘As Ever’ potentially playing a key role. A source cited by Heat World revealed more about what the Duchess of Sussex hopes to achieve in Britain.
Meghan Markle wants UK public to know that ‘her products fit in very well with the English sensibility,’ per source
Meghan may also be gearing up for a new wine to coincide with her return to the UK, reports Heat World. A picture posted on ‘As Ever’s’ social media showed a cork alongside the caption, “Something sparkling is on its way next month.”
The source claimed that the Duchess hopes her wider product range will appeal to the “English sensibility.” The source said, “Not that her jam is the only focus; she’s been on a big push with her wine lately and believes there is big market potential for it in Britain.”
The insider pointed to the existing demand for high-quality California wines in Britain, adding that Meghan’s wine is “very reasonably priced” compared to other wines, especially the Napa rosé.
According to Heat World’s source, Meghan still appreciates aspects of British life despite her reported frustrations with England.
“For all her complaints about England, there is still a lot that she loves about it,” the insider claimed, adding that she sees the UK as a place where people “do an awful lot of entertaining” and have “a real passion about doing things to a high standard.”
“She resonates with that in a big way, and she feels like if people gave her a chance, they would see that her products fit in very well with the English sensibility,” the insider said. The source said Meghan has pointed to the Victorian tradition of decorating cakes and desserts with edible flowers.
She reportedly believes her edible flower confetti could be a hit in Britain if consumers “only had the chance to try it.” These plans follow Meghan’s efforts to expand the product line of ‘As Ever’ in the UK and around the world.
