Robyn Dixon Pitches Two-Hour Juan Dixon Special to Andy Cohen

Although Juan Dixon didn’t bother showing up to the Season 8 Real Housewives of Potomac reunion, Robyn Dixon seems to think that he’d be interested in a two-hour special. She pitched the idea to Andy Cohen during Part 1 of the reunion. He seemed less than thrilled.

Bet it all on Juan?

Of course, Robyn found herself in the hot seat during the reunion. At the start of Season 8, her castmates criticized her for keeping her marital problems away from the show. She and Juan were also navigating him losing his job and being named in a sexual assault lawsuit with his former employer.

With all of that attention on the Dixons, not showing up to the reunion seemed inexcusable. Still, Robyn made it clear that she has faith in her man and his ability to make good reality TV. He might hate RHOP, but Robyn quipped that his life would be interesting enough for its special.

“I mean really, y’all should do a two-hour special on Juan Dixon’s life, it’s very intriguing,” Robyn suggested.

On the surface, it’s pretty easy to roast this idea, but Robyn isn’t entirely wrong. Juan really does have an intriguing life story. There’s much more to him than hanging out at laundromats and making mysterious hotel visits.

Juan’s unexpected family reunion

On RHOP, it has been mentioned that both of Juan’s parents were heroin addicts who died from AIDS when he was in high school. He was raised by his brother. Despite those adversities, he managed to become a college basketball superstar and made it into the NBA.

Years later, Juan learned that his biological father wasn’t the man he thought he was. He was alive! According to NBC, Juan’s real dad turned out to be an ex-boyfriend of his mom named Bruce Flanigan. He saw Juan playing basketball on TV and knew that there had to be a connection.

Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel did an entire special on Juan’s reunion with his biological father. It wasn’t until 2016 that Juan and Bruce confirmed their relationship via a DNA test. Since then, they’ve formed a very special bond.

With that in mind, Robyn’s suggestion for Juan to get a two-hour special isn’t too far-fetched. Whether or not that special belongs on Bravo is a different story. In actuality, she should be more worried about keeping her spot on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Rumors are swirling that Season 8 will be her last.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 reunion continues on Bravo, Sunday nights at 8/7c.
