The Valley star Nia Booko and her husband, Danny Booko, are known for their ever-expanding family. Danny liked to joke during Season 1 of the show that they had “three under three.” But it wasn’t easy for Nia to make that a reality for them. She recently opened up about her unexplained infertility diagnosis and how she beat the odds to get pregnant several times.

Nia and Danny have their hands full. In Season 2, they are still living in their condo in the valley with three little ones to take care of. Nia had asked Danny for a fourth baby, but Danny wasn’t game until they got a new home in Santa Clarita.
Luckily for him, Danny got his wish and they are moving to Santa Clarita. And Nia got preggers with baby number four. But her journey to make that happen was a challenging one. She shared her infertility story during Season 2, Episode 3.
Nia explained, “On our fertility journey, we went to a fertility doctor, [and] that’s when I was diagnosed as having unexplained infertility. Unexplained infertility is when they look at your ovaries. They look at your uterus. Everything is fine, so doctors are like, ‘There’s nothing wrong with you. You are infertile. We just don’t know why.’”
She revealed she got pregnant after she did fertility acupuncture for two months. Nia added, “It took us over a year and a half to get pregnant the first time.”
With all the trials and tribulations Nia has gone through, her latest pregnancy is going quite well. She told PEOPLE, “This pregnancy is really a pregnancy where I feel so at peace, because the first one was brand new, yeah, second one, we had a lot of ups and downs. We had really scary times with the twins, not knowing if they were going to make it or not.”
