It’s almost time to welcome back the saints and sinners for Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. During Season 1, viewers saw some troubling dynamics in Jen Affleck’s marriage to Zac Affleck. Jen’s friends called out Zac, pushing Jen into an uncomfortable position. Now, Jen is revealing what happened with her marriage after filming for the first season wrapped.
Jen Affleck and Zac Affleck separated before announcing third pregnancy
During Season 1, when Jen went to a Chippendales show, Zac had a meltdown. Mind you, she left before the show started, but Zac’s rage texts opened a deep wound. The cracks in their relationship were laid bare for Jen’s #MomTok friends and fans alike.
“Just because of everything that we went through last year and because of everything we’ve had to do so much therapy,” Jen told PEOPLE. In addition, the couple is expecting their third baby.
However, during Season 2 of the show, Zac and Jen are not living together. “It’s all a blessing in disguise, but I definitely think it is daunting coming back to MomTok because we have gone through so much being a part of it. But again, we’re learning so much on the way, so only taking the positives right now,” Jen stated.
To work on their marriage, Zac deferred attending medical school in Arizona. “He still hasn’t officially decided,” the Mormon influencer said. “He still has about five months to decide, but as of right now, I think his priority is just supporting me, and so I guess we’ll see.”
Thankfully, Jen and Zac have made some positive progress in working on their marital issues. “We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, I’m focusing on my mental health,” Jen stated, “my marriage, and becoming the best version of myself that I can be.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be available to stream on Hulu on May 15th. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK.
