RHOA’s Shamea Morton Suffers Hot Mic Moment After Walking off After Show Over Porsha Williams

Is anybody else getting a headache from trying to keep up with the drama between Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton? They’ve been friends since they were kids, but we’re watching their friendship deteriorate one episode at a time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It’s petty, it’s sad, and we’re only getting a fraction of the truth about what’s going on between them.

In the latest episode, Shamea revealed how a mysterious falling out between their moms has been a recurring source of tension in their friendship. On top of that, she accused Porsha of acting differently off-camera from what we’re seeing on RHOA. It’s a lot, and we’re genuinely concerned that Season 16 could be the final nail in the coffin of this friendship.

Shamea Morton feels RHOA has allowed her Porsha Williams friendship to crumble

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show for Season 16 Episode 11, Shamea broke down in tears trying to make sense of where things went wrong with Porsha. She told Kelli Ferrell that as these episodes started airing, she began receiving messages from people trying to warn her about Porsha.

“I’ve gotten so many DMs and messages, and even to those, I still give grace because it’s hurtful,” Shamea explained. “And the stuff that people have said, ‘Oh, I wanted to tell you a long time ago that your friend ain’t your friend, and she don’t want you in this space with her. She don’t want to share this platform with you.'”

Yikes! Shamea started crying and then walked off the set of the After Show. Luckily, she kept her microphone on, so we heard everything she said backstage. Who doesn’t love a good hot mic moment?

“I didn’t want to do this sh*t for the longest time because … I was being respectful of the fact that this is her space,” Shamea said to Kelli backstage.

She continued, “I just wanted it to be OK. Like, ya know, this is your thing. I don’t need this. I’m happy with the life I’m living off-camera, ya know? … But I thought we could be like, we could show people, like, how great our friendship is.”

Poor Shamea. She genuinely believed she would come into Season 16 with Porsha and they’d be some dynamic duo. She thought they were going to be the next Frick and Frack. Instead, the wrinkles in their decades-long friendship started coming to the surface.

Fortunately, Shamea does have friends in the cast outside of her friendship with Porsha. After Shamea’s tearful hot-mic moment, Kelli gave her a “power speech,” reminding her just how much she has to show the RHOA audience, with or without Porsha by her side.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta streams on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
