Next Gen NYC started with a bang and brought together several kids of famous Bravolebrities for their own show. Now it’s their turn to step into the limelight and bring the drama. Two of those kids are Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss. Their mothers, Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss, both hail from Real Housewives of Atlanta. And they are not on speaking terms. So, what does this mean for Ariana and Riley’s relationship? Check out the preview for Episode 2 below to find out.
Next Gen NYC Episode 2 sees Riley Burruss and Ariana Biermann rebuild their friendship
During Episode 1, Brooks Marks had told Riley that Ariana had moved to NYC. But Riley was a bit trepidatious as their parents weren’t friends anymore. Would it work out between them? We know that it’s not working out with her and Gia Guidice.
However, it was D-Day, and the two were finally going to reconnect after all these years. Riley called up Kandi to tell her the news. Kandi explained about Kim, “It’s like, we just kind of like, moved on. Her mom and I stopped communicating.”
When Riley pushed for more intel as to why, Kandi replied, “It’s not your business. Hopefully you guys can reconnect and be friends again.”
In her confessional, Ariana was excited and noted they hadn’t seen each other since they were eight years old. Cut to eight-year-old Ariana telling Riley she had a boyfriend, and Riley joked if she had a boyfriend, she’d get whooped. They were so cute!
Whatever awkwardness they were feeling washed away when they greeted each other with a warm hug. Riley shared what Kandi told her. She said, “Don’t let what went on between me and her mom affect y’all. Like, y’all are completely different now. Y’all are like adults.”
Ariana agreed. She said, “Like, our mom’s stuff I don’t feel like is our stuff … she was like, excited for me, and was like, yeah no, that’s amazing, good for you.”
Thankfully, things seemed to go well for the two. Let’s hope the drama Ariana dished the cast gets into isn’t with each other.
