Jen Affleck just gave new meaning to multitasking! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member began going into labor during a manicure.
She just shared the moment in a TikTok, capturing the chaos as things quickly escalated in the middle of the nail salon. True to form, Jen shared the whole thing in real time. And, it was the kind of raw oversharing that MomTok fans eat up.

Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck got a cervix check after going into labor
On June 27, Jen posted a TikTok showing labor hitting while she was still at the salon. A friend asked how she was feeling. Jen smiled and said, “I’m feeling great!” despite her contractions. She timed her contractions, did squats between polish coats, and used a Doppler ultrasound device to check the baby’s heartbeat.
She made a call, likely to her husband, Zac Affleck, to let him know labor had started – all while showing off her fresh pink flower manicure. At one point, Jen laid down on the salon floor to get her cervix checked.
This baby will be Jen and Zac’s third. They already have a three-year-old daughter, Nora, and a one-year-old son, Lucas. Jen’s path to this pregnancy was far from smooth. In February, Jen revealed that the pregnancy was “a surprise,” but the whole family was “excited.”
In a Season 2 episode, Jen broke down in tears after finding out she was pregnant, admitting she was “stressed out of [her] mind” because she and Zac weren’t “on the best of terms” after a brief separation.
Jen even paused filming for a time because of her emotional struggles.
In May, Jen told PEOPLE that she and Zac were working on their relationship while awaiting their third child and were “finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.”
She explained, “Something that Zac and I have done and something that we’ve worked on in therapy is really making our relationship a focus. That’s something that I now take pride in, but it’s a full-time job.”
With such a quirky labor story already unfolding, fans will likely see much more of Jen’s journey – and all the drama that will inevitably come along with it – in the next season of Mormon Wives.
