Next Gen NYC’s Gia Giudice Slammed After Asking President Trump To Pardon Dad Joe

Gia Giudice of Next Gen NYC is facing online backlash for requesting President Donald Trump to pardon her dad, Joe Giudice. The U.S. government deported Joe back to Italy in 2019, and he is now residing in the Bahamas Gia is writing letters to the president to ask him for his help in bringing her dad home.

Gia is currently starring in Next Gen NYC with other kids of Real Housewives stars and alumni. Savannah Chrisley inspired her to contact the president. The Chrisley’s eldest daughter just recently secured a presidential pardon for her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley. And it looks like Gia wants to do the same for her dad.

Could President Trump pardon RHONJ alum Joe Giudice?

Gia posted an emotional video of her on Instagram addressing a letter to the president.

“Hey guys, my name is Gia Giudice,” she said. “I am the daughter of Joe Giudice. And today, I am using my voice for something deeply personal. My dad was deported over four years ago. Since then, our family has lived in an emotional limbo. No matter how strong we try to be in the absence of a father, of a parent, it’s something that never stops hurting.”

She added that her dad was present at all her cheer competitions, dance recitals, and holiday celebrations. “He was our provider. Our protector. And he still is, just now from thousands of miles away.”

Gia said that watching the Chrisley family receive a second chance inspired her.

“(The Chrisleys) showed me that people can be forgiven, that families could be restored, and that sometimes the justice system has room for grace. That gave me hope that maybe my dad could come home too.”

Gia’s post landed flat for many of her followers with them calling her out for being tone deaf in light of the controversial ICE deportation raids in the country.

“Privilege at its finest,” one commenter wrote. Some asked why they don’t fly out to see him since they have the means to do so. Others added that her father was a convicted felon.

Gia’s post comes after her father asked for a presidential pardon last month. Federal authorities indicted and convicted him and Teresa on fraud charges in 2013 and sentenced them to prison.

Next Gen NYC airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
