When is an unfollow simply an unfollow? It seems like never. The internet sees an unfollow as a sign of bad blood. And because of that, Love Island USA star Leah Kateb had to address the many Huda Mustafa feud rumors. According to her, she wasn’t throwing any shade.
Leah was part of Love Island Season 6 and found love with Miguel Harichi. She’s also on Love Island: Beyond the Villa. Huda was on Season 7 and while she wasn’t necessarily the villain on the show, she certainly was controversial. That’s probably why people are quick to jump to the conclusion of potential feuds brewing between the two island veterans.
Love Island’s Leah Kateb denies feud with Huda Mustafa despite unfollow
Speculation of the feud between Leah and Huda started when Leah unfollowed Huda on Instagram following her exit from the villa. The rumors swirled even more when Leah appeared on Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen. Leah shared a viral clip of her on the show saying, “people need to actually bring back shame.”
The comments on that post were saying that Leah was potentially throwing shade. It got so bad that Leah felt she had to set the record straight.
“Bruh, omfg you would think I was on season 7 too! Like leave me alone!” Leah wrote. “I have nothing to do with it, nor have I spoken on it. I’m not even watching! I don’t even follow Love Island. I know nothing. I’m literally so confused.”
Ironically, Leah insisted that her unfollow had no malice but only recently called out Aaron Evans for unfollowing her. Isn’t that a double standard?
In either case, Leah insisted she has “no beef” with anyone from the Season 7 cast. “I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has gone on Love island because it takes a lot to put yourself on a chopping board like this. I wish them all well truly.”
Huda has gotten a lot of flack for very many things. From failed relationships to having sex in the Villa, Huda has been polarizing. But at least we know that Leah has nothing against her.
She reiterated that she wants nothing to do with the drama in the comments saying, “I have only said I wish everyone an amazing experience and I hope they all protect their energy. Leave me ALONE.”
