So much happened during the first season of Next Gen NYC. With the season concluding last July, Brooks Marks is ready to look back at everything that happened. He’s ready to address the drama and talk about what the future holds.
The fashion designer and son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks had a great first season on Next Gen NYC. But it wasn’t without drama. Between juggling his career, working for his mom, and confronting friends, he reflected on everything and how it impacts how he wants to be moving forward.
Brooks Marks thinks people have a “misconception” about him after Next Gen NYC Season 1
Brooks attended The Daily Dish at DIRECTV’s Plot Twist Featuring Bravo event in New York on August 12. He was there with his family, several Housewives, some of the boys from Southern Charm, and castmates from Next Gen NYC like Ariana Biermann and Georgia McCann.
At the event, Brooks shared that there are “too many things” he’d like to address from Season 1 of the show. “I feel like Season 1 ended with way more things, like, left open than closed,” Brooks shared. “I don’t even know where to start.”
He’s not wrong. The show, featuring the next generation of reality stars, had its share of drama. In Brooks’ case, he had a lot on his plate, including learning how to confront people when needed (sans flipping tables), making career moves, and spending time with his new beau, Kade Thomas.
However, many people thought Brooks was quite forgiving as he was often the one bringing the group together. “I mean, I think people are having a misconception that they can walk all over me,” Brooks said.
“So I would like to put my foot down. I don’t know if it’s a misconception. It might be true. But I would like to see if I can put my foot down more, and that’s something I’ve been working on.”
And being more assertive isn’t the only thing Brooks is working on. He also revealed that he has been very busy with his fashion line, Brooks Marks.
“I have a new launch coming up in a few weeks that I’m super excited to share,” he related. “You’ll have to tune in to my Instagram for all of the updates.
