It may have just been over a year since we fell in love with the cast of Love Island USA Season 6, but we’re not done watching them just yet. Of course, it makes it easier to stay up-to-date with the lives of the former islanders thanks to the Love Island: Beyond the Villa spinoff, but the offline drama is just as juicy.
There’s no doubt that the split between JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez was the biggest news to rock the Love Island universe this summer. The rumors surrounding their split have been nasty, but we haven’t heard much directly from JaNa. Until now.
JaNa Craig has found the “closure” she needs
In an interview with People, JaNa dished some details about the split. “It was so dark – the past. I don’t like talking about it anymore,” she said. “I’ve gotten the closure I need. I don’t really like to dwell on the past.” However, she did explain that the breakup made her realize her inner strength. “I just continue to practice gratitude. It didn’t kill me,” she added. “I am still here. God is good. Life is good, so it’s like, girl, I’m fine.”
While she’s not trying to “waste [her] breath” on talking about her recent ex. “I thought it was a good relationship. But it wasn’t, and that’s fine,” JaNa said. She did agree with fans who are noticing red flags from Kenny that she missed while watching Beyond the Villa. “When someone has a hidden agenda, they’re going to come off as genuine as possible to reach their goal. The red flags that people saw, I didn’t see,” she explained. “There are situations where we forgave each other as you would do in a relationship. It gets frustrating, but it’s OK.” It’s good to hear that JaNa is totally “healed” and ready for her next chapter.
