Hindsight is 20/20, and Calah Jackson is seeing clearly following her split from Steven McBee Jr. The two originally met on Fox’s 2022 Joe Millionaire reboot, but on Season 2 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, their relationship started to crumble. Now, Calaha is ready to move forward.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Calah reflected on her relationship with Steven. She admitted that watching Season 2 of The Mcbee Dynasty has been eye-opening for her. She’s seeing red flags that she didn’t see in real life.
“It’s very different being in the relationship versus being out,” Calah said, adding, “I think I lost a lot of myself in that relationship.”
She continued, “Maybe it’s a good thing that I’m able to watch it back on TV, because it really is just so eye-opening for me. I’m like, ‘Oh, why did I put up with this?’ Or, like, ‘I cannot believe I reacted that way to this.’”
Calah and Steven’s relationship hit its final low point during Season 2 Episode 5. The family took a trip to the Ozarks, where Cole McBee made a snide comment at Calah. The two clashed, and Calah felt frustrated that Steven didn’t have her back. Thus, the two called it quits.
This breakup wasn’t their first. The pair admitted to calling it quits over a dozen times in the past. This time, however, both Steven and Calah made it clear that the relationship is over for good. Calah left rural Missouri and is doing her own thing in Dallas, Texas.
“I’m very, very happy back, and I will never be moving back to Missouri again. That’s for sure,” she said.
Calah added, “I’ve been focusing on myself and just trying to get back to a really good mental place. And honestly, I’m, like, the happiest I’ve been in a really long time. So, things are going really well right now.”
