A cancer diagnosis changes everything, including sex drives, as Teddi Mellencamp knows. Typically, Cancer patients experience many highs and lows throughout their treatment plans. But the physical and mental challenges that accompany this disease are often extreme.
When staring down a road with cancer, sometimes, all one can do is pick their battles wisely, both in bed and out. Teddi recently spoke about this topic with her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills scene partner, Erika Jayne.
Teddi Mellencamp is no longer a “wild woman”
Teddi and Erika got to talking on a recent episode of their podcast, Diamonds in the Rough. No longer married, Teddi has now “been on probably eight dates” with a new man. “Not the young guy,” though, she stressed, noting that this man is someone Erika has yet to meet. But as Teddi explained, “He’s such a nice guy, such a good guy.”
But this solid man is getting a different side of Teddi following her cancer diagnosis. “I was a wild woman … but now I am not,” she said, speaking primarily about her shifting sex drive. “So now I’m just chill. I’m like, ‘OK, yeah, let’s go to dinner.”
Teddi has experienced a lot in a short period of time. Most recently, her care team changed her medication, so her body is back in an adjustment period. Currently, Teddi admits that she still has a “sex drive,” yet sex remains “really hard for me. Not to TMI, but I even tried myself, and I was like, ‘This is f*cking exhausting.’”
Sadly, Teddi failed to reveal any identifying features regarding this man. But she did state that he is “funny,” “nice,” “handsome,” and “he opens car doors.” Overall, Teddi has “no complaints. The only complaints there are are how I physically feel — like, not about him but about myself,” she said.
