RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Jr. Arrested on Numerous Counts — Details

Just days before the Season 6 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., was arrested for several alleged crimes, including trespassing and assault. The trouble all started at his father-in-law’s house. Here’s what we know so far.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Robert allegedly tried to break into his father-in-law’s home via a dog door before assaulting someone on the front lawn. The police arrived, and they said that Robert refused to cooperate when they asked him to get on the ground.

He eventually complied, and they took him to jail. They hit him with a handful of charges: failure to stop at the command of law enforcement, criminal trespassing, assault, and three alleged violations of a court order. They set his bond for $5,000.

We’re not sure the extent of the court order violations, but they likely stem back to his 2022 DUI arrest. After pleading guilty to the charge, the court ordered him to complete a rehabilitation program. Allegedly, he failed to prove that he completed it.

News of the arrest comes just two days after Mary spoke about her son’s troubles, signaling that he may still be in the throes of addiction. She said he needed him to “make up his mind” about his future and that Robert Cosby Sr. felt “devastated” by the ongoing battle.

“I can just only push him, encourage him, and love him. And that’s what I’m doing. That’s kind of where we are,” Mary explained. “But he’s still on that road, and it’s a hardcore road.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 premieres Tuesday, September 16 at 8/7c on Bravo.
