As we impatiently await Season 4 of The Traitors, the show received some welcome accolades. Host Alan Cumming accepted the award for outstanding reality competition series at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. This marks the show’s second win in a row. After accepting the award, Alan had a challenge for Donald Trump.
With Season 4 of The Traitors on the horizon, the cast list is stacked with a diverse group of celebrities. Bravo has quite a few representatives, including Real Housewives gems Porsha Williams, Lisa Rinna, and Candiace Dillard-Bassett. Plus, Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, will be in the castle, along with Maura Higgins from Love Island USA: Aftersun.
Alan Cumming thinks Donald Trump could thrive in the “treachery” of The Traitors
The Traitors features a group of competitors divided into two factions, Faithfuls and Traitors. Deception, lies, and manipulation are the name of this game, which takes place in a Scottish castle. And at the end? A prize pot for the remaining players. If a Traitor remains, they take all the money. If only Faithfuls remain, they split the cash.
While accepting the Emmy award, Alan stated, “It’s a difficult time we live in, but it’s so great that our show brings a little bit of joy into this life.” However, during a backstage interview in the press room, Alan decided to get a bit shady with President Trump.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, someone asked Alan who would be a good fit for the show. “I’m sure our president would be very good on the show, having a lot of chaos and sort of turmoil and treachery,” Alan quipped. “So maybe he’d like to come on and be paid for that, probably better than he gets as president.”
As you may recall, Donald Trump knows a little something about reality television. He was a producer and the host of The Apprentice.
The Traitors Season 4 drops in early 2026 on Peacock.
